Networking Configurations

Purchase of JustAddCommerce 6 includes the software on a disk plus one Admin key.
A JAC merchant may have only one Admin key.

JAC 6 Data files can be saved in only one location. If you will need access to JAC 6 on more than one computer, then you will need to set up a file-sharing network. Please choose the option that best fits your situation from the list below:

I am a single user and will be using JAC 6 on one computer.

I have several computers in my building and multiple users that will need to access JAC 6.

I am a web developer and need access to my client's account. My client will only need to use JAC 6 to check orders and manage customers.

 

Single User

Companies using only one computer can install the JAC 6 software on this computer, and use only the Admin key to have full access to all features of JAC 6. Single user can also switch between the Admin key and Guest keys as necessary (i.e. order taker uses same computer to retrieve orders and you do not want to give full Admin access).

 

Multiple Users

Companies with several computers in the same building will need to set up a file-sharing network between all computers that will need to access the JAC 6 files (Orders, Customers, etc).

JAC Data files need to be stored (saved) in one location, and all computers will need to access to that location to view orders and customer lists. Order takers, using Guest keys, will be able to retrieve orders as well as enter manual orders, with no access to JAC Settings.

 

Developer and Client

For:

  • Companies set up with multiple Client access for retrieving orders.
  • Developer and Client are in different geographic locations.

    Developer or Administrator has JAC 6 software, Admin key, and JAC Data on file server. Client, in different geographic location, has JAC 6 software and Guest key on his computer. Web developer will control all settings. Client cannot change settings, but can download and retrieve orders, and has the Guest key functions.

    • Web developer must provide client with images used on Billing Invoice and Packing Slip sections so that Client can drop images on the billing invoices and packing slips before printing copies. Developer should avoid using the Orders and Customers sections of the JAC 6 program. If the developer downloads an order on his computer, it will not appear on the client's computer.
